MSc in Corporate Finance - Online Degree Programme
This Online MSc in Corporate Finance programme provides the knowledge, skills and insights that will enable you to operate at the higher-levels of corporate finance and the capital markets.
The focus is both international and forward-looking. As such, the programme incorporates the requirements of companies and organisations around the world, while ensuring that you have a real-time knowledge of topical issues in financial analysis and reporting.
The reporting requirement of the MSc is structured around the widely adopted International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Thus you will be introduced to, and gain an in-depth understanding of, the latest standards of accounting analysis and reporting methods as they are applied in a global context.
Six core modules provide a thorough grounding in the field of international, organisational finance. This includes subjects such as Reporting and Analysis, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Treasury Management. You will then specialise by choosing two elective modules in areas such as Islamic Finance, Emerging Markets Finance, and Entrepreneurial Finance.
You will complete your qualification with an original dissertation. Upon graduation you will have a substantial knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets, along with the skills necessary to deploy that knowledge. You will also be familiar with contemporary and salient aspects of international finance such as ethics. In this way, completion of the MSc in Corporate Finance has the potential to make you attractive, at a decision-making level, to employers around the world.
Application and Admission Requirements
Prior to taking the MSc in Corporate Finance from The University of Liverpool Online, the following are required:
- Bachelor’s degree equivalent to UK Honours degree.
- English equivalent to minimum of IETS test level 6.5 overall.
- TOEFL 580 paper based test / 88 Internet based test / TEEP 6.5
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
Duration of the MSc in Corporate Finance:
The Online MSc in Corporate Finance is 30 months in duration based on the recommended study schedule. Should students need to alter their study path due to work or family commitments they can do so in consultation with a Student Support Manager.
MSc in Corporate Finance programme structure:
The Online MSc in Corporate Finance programme comprises eight modules – six compulsory and two elective – culminating in a dissertation. Each online module lasts eight weeks. You take one module at a time in order to study a specific subject in-depth without distractions.
