CEIBS is the leading Chinese international business school. All three of CEIBS programs are ranked in the Global Top 30 by the Financial Times. The school’s main objective is to contribute to the economic development of China by offering its students a thorough understanding of the latest international management knowledge and practices coupled with clear China expertise.
CEIBS’ mission is to prepare highly competent, internationally oriented managers who are capable of working within the economic environment of China, while adapting to the forces of business globalization, international cooperation and international competition.
Established in Shanghai in 1994, CEIBS is based on its own campus in the Pudong district of Shanghai. CEIBS is a not-for-profit joint venture established under an agreement between MOFTEC and the European Commission. Additionally, CEIBS operates programs in Beijing, Shenzhen, and certificate programmes in developing regions of China.
CEIBS is China's first business school to have its own campus. Designed by world-renowned architects, Pei Cobb Freed and Partners, the school's architectural beauty combines Western architecture with the subtlety of Chinese beauty and grace, creating a unique identity for the 5 hectare site in Pudong. The school's facilities are connected with an arcade walkway that encloses the main garden, often referred to as the bamboo forest.
The school's facilities are impressive, comfortable, and technologically advanced and are second to none in mainland China. Earlier this year, the school celebrated an increase in size of the campus to a total floor area of approximately 40,000m2 as part of the completion of its Phase II development of the main campus.
