Program description
This masters of business administration (MBA) program provides an accelerated degree format that allows students to earn an MBA in twelve months. The 1-Year MBA follows a cohort model with a structured schedule beginning each fall and provides opportunities to acquire substantial leadership skills, gain international perspective and build a global network.
The MBA program is ideal for both working professionals and recent graduates who want to upgrade their credentials and become strategic players in the world of business.
Gain experience
Students of the MBA program will address timely issues relevant in today’s business world. Courses integrate applications and theories from various disciplines including accounting, economics, finance, marketing, production operations and strategic management.
Build your career
Individual career management support will help to prepare students for potential new job opportunities while in the MBA program and after graduation. Personalized professional development resources and individual job coaching will assist students with self-discovery, goal setting, personal branding and career planning.
Networking opportunities
MBA students can build a valuable network through the relationships they will forge with their cohort members, instructors and other students from around the world. Participants may expand their perspective through international travel and study within Webster University’s network of campuses.
MBA structure
The 1-Year MBA is a 13 course (37 credit hours) program consisting of 11 courses (31 credits hours) in core MBA courses plus 6 credits in Saturday Seminars and Experiential Learning opportunities. Students enter the program in late August and graduate the following July.
Saturday seminars
The 1-Year MBA program includes a series of Saturday Seminars that provide students with opportunities for strategic skills development, including:
- Effective Business Communication
- Managing in a Diverse Environment
- Global Leadership Development
Experiential learning
Every student has the opportunity to explore a global business topic through a Walker Global Hybrid Course or thesis work. Students may also elect to put their education to work through an internship for credit or select one of two globally focused courses: international business or cross-cultural management.

Prerequisites may be needed, but can be met through completion (grade of B or better) of recent courses in Business, Accounting Theory and Practice, and Current Economic Analysis, or approved equivalents. Any required prerequisites should be completed prior to starting the 1-Year MBA and tuition is charged separately from the program fee. In addition, English language proficiency must be documented.
