Consultancy Projects Throughout
Consultancy projects are an important part of the 12-month MBA at University of Edinburgh Business School. In these projects, which are integrated throughout the curriculum and offered as a capstone project, candidates can translate theory in practice in a live business setting, gain unqiue, practical experience and apply themselves in start-ups or spin-out ventures. Previous sponsors for the elective consultancy module have included Barclays, Amazon and GE Energy.
The Entrepreneurs Club (E-Club)
A secret weapon for Edinburgh MBA candidates and graduates, the Entrepreneurs Club at University of Edinburgh Business School is a meeting place for MBA candidates, entrepreneurs, alumni, faculty, executives and guest speakers from start-ups and spin-out companies. As a playing ground for the brightest business minds in Edinburgh, the E-Club allows ambitious and creative thinkers to collaborate, innovate and share knowledge. As a result of this effort, University of Edinburgh Business School creates an average of one company every two weeks.
Application and Admission Requirements
In order to qualify for the Edinburgh Full-Time MBA, candidates must have achieved the following:
- A minimum of 3 years' work experience in a managerial role
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited university (2:1 honours) or international equivalent
- Candidates who do not meet the formal degree requirement, but hold alternative qualifications or significant work experience, may also be considered.
- GMAT score of 600 (preferred)
- High proficiency in English
The following must be included in all applications:
- A personal statement of 500 words
- A statement of career motivation of 500 words
- An English language CV
- 2 references (at least one must come from a senior professional colleague)
- Formal documentation of all degrees and transcripts
- Official GMAT scores, if applicable
- Proof of English ability (for non-native speakers)
- IELTS (7.0), PTE (67), CPE (B), CAE (A) or TOEFL (100)

Graduates will be awarded a Master of Business Administration from the University of Edinburgh Business School, University of Edinburgh. the university of Edinburgh Business School is a triple accredited business school, holding accreditations from the AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS.
The University of Edinburgh Full-Time MBA follows a robust curriculum of courses in business theory and practice. Candidates will complete, core courses, elective modules, a study abroad semester at any of the University of Edinburgh Business School partner institutions, an 8-10 week MBA internship and a final capstone project.
Induction - September
Semester 1 - September-December
Semester 2A - January-March
Semester 2B - International Exchange - March-June
During this semester, candidates will complete a 10-14 week study abroad program at any of Edinburgh Business School's 12 partner universities.
International Internship - June-August

Capstone Project - August-September
