Program description

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at Nottingham University Business School provides an advanced course in management for students seeking senior positions in industry, commerce and public services. The core subjects of the MBA develop knowledge and skills in fundamental management disciplines. MBA course members can concentrate in-depth on more specific subjects according to individual interests and career requirements through elective subjects. The MBA programme at Nottingham University Business School involves participation in group work with participants from a range of different industrial, commercial, geographical and cultural backgrounds. The MBA improves the decision making abilities of participants and produces managers of the highest quality. Individuals wishing to study overseas can take the core management subjects at Nottingham in Semester 1 and a choice of elective modules delivered by Nottingham's overseas partner institutions, including the Malaysian campus, in Semester 2. This option is only available on the full-time programme and an additional fee will be payable. Application and Admission Requirements
Applicants to the Nottingham MBA are expected to have three years or more of full time work experience with a management dimension (five years for the Executive MBA programme) preferably gained since graduating from your first degree.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at Nottingham University Business School consists of seven core modules with a choice of five electives and is completed by undertaking an individual or group management project. The core subjects ensure that students study essential areas of management, whilst the electives and management project allow students to build on these fundamental areas and tailor-make their own version of the Nottingham MBA.
Students will study each of the seven core modules:
- Accounting and Finance
- Business Economics
- Managing People
- Marketing
- Operations Management
- Strategic Management
- Sustainable Decisions and Organisations
Together with five electives and completion of a management project.
