Program description
The HKUST MBA curriculum is designed to develop your ability to operate successfully in a global economy, and manage effectively in the Asian context. There are two main components: required cores (~65%) and advanced electives (~35%). We also provide three areas of concentration for those who want to specialize.

Experience sharing and interaction between participants play a significant part in the HKUST MBA. We bring together people from a range of different academic and professional backgrounds to create a stimulating learning environment.

The language of instruction is English.

Application and Admission Requirements
HKUST MBA seeks to bring together a diverse group of participants with a variety of abilities, experiences and academic backgrounds. Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:
  • a strong bachelor degree
  • a satisfactory GMAT score
  • minimum three year's full-time work experience after first degree
  • a good TOEFL result if English was not the language of instruction at undergraduate level

    • Class Schedule
    Part-time MBA core courses are run on Saturdays at the Clearwater Bay campus, usually from 9am to 6pm. Occasionally some elective courses are held in weekday evenings downtown.

    Class Profile
    Our part-time participants have an average of eight years' work experience, providing a wealth of real-life management scenarios to share in classes. The diverse student body of many different fields and backgrounds ensures dynamic exchange.

    In addition, the Shenzhen cohort and international exchange-in students from our 51 partners schools in 15 countries further inject international dimension in classrooms.

    International Exchange Program
    To broaden your international outlook, you can spend a semester at one of our 51 leading partner schools in 15 countries. Given space is available from the partner schools, students can make arrangement to study abroad usually in the second year of study. You will continue to pay HKUST tuition fees and receive credits for courses taken at exchange schools.

    We have partner schools the US, Canada, Europe, Australia as well as in Asia and the Middle East.

    The program fee for the Part-time MBA is HKD 234,000. The fee covers tuition, MBA Residential Program, textbooks for required cores and course materials.
