Consultancy Projects Throughout

As an aspect of the program, candidates will participate in consultancy projects with live companies throughout the 16 months. This process will help candidates to apply new theoretical knowledge in a practical business environment, gain experience in a relevant field and apply themselves in start-ups or spin-out ventures. 

In the elective consultancy module, consultancy experience can be taken one step further in a comprehensive and immersive project with a large corporate body. Previous sponsors have included Barclays, Amazon and GE Energy.

Entrepreneurs Club (E-Club)

The Entrepreneurs Club at University of Edinburgh Business School is a meeting place for MBA candidates, entrepreneurs, alumni, faculty, executives and guest speakers from start-ups and spin-out companies. As a host to the best minds in Edinburgh, the E-Club provides the backdrop for creativity, innovation and knowledge-sharing. As a result of this effort, University of Edinburgh Business School creates an average of one company every two weeks. 

Application and Admission Requirements

Admissions

In order to qualify for the Edinburgh 16-month MBA, candidates must have achieved the following:

  • A minimum of 3 years' work experience in a managerial role
  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited university (2:1 honours) or international equivalent
    • Candidates who do not meet the formal degree requirement, but hold alternative qualifications or significant work experience, may also be considered. 
  • GMAT score of 600 (preferred)
  • High proficiency in English

Application Processes

The following must be included in all applications:

  • A personal statement of 500 words
  • A statement of career motivation of 500 words
  • An English language CV
  • 2 references (at least one must come from a senior professional colleague)
  • Formal documentation of all degrees and transcripts
  • Official GMAT scores, if applicable
  • Proof of English ability (for non-native speakers)
    • IELTS (7.0), PTE (67), CPE (B), CAE (A) or TOEFL (100)

Fill-Time 16-Month MBA - University of Edinburgh Business School

Program Structure

The University of Edinburgh16-month MBA follows takes theoretical understanding and practical application into acocunt in a robust and hands-on curriculum. Candidates will complete, core courses, elective modules, a 4-month study abroad experience at any of the University of Edinburgh Business School partner institutions, an 8-10 week MBA internship and a final capstone project.
