MBA Hiring Optimistic for 2012

According to a recent report conducted by the the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) MBA graduates can expect to see employment numbers on the rise with nearly 74 percent of employers intending to hire at least one MBA graduate in 2012, up from 58 percent in 2011. The bad news is that while MBA graduates can expect a stronger job market, salaries will largely remain stagnint. "Despite the increased hiring projections, the majority of companies, or 65 percent, plan to keep base salaries at similar levels to 2011", read the report.

Considering the job market is still considerably tighter than in years past, it is more important than ever that MBA students participate in internship programs to set themselves apart from other job applicants and test their management skills in the real-world.

With the news that MBA graduates will see stronger employment numbers than in 2011 and 22 percent of recruiters maintaing they are planning to hire more MBA graduates, perhaps now is the time to head back to school and get an MBA.
