global business schoolUnder the leadership of its current dean, Dezsö J. Horváth, Tanna H. Schulich Chair in Strategic Management, Schulich has become a global business school. Its broad-ranging strategic alliances in more than 45 countries worldwide include academic exchange agreements with more than two dozen leading management schools in the Americas, Asia and Europe.

The School’s innovative programming and global focus attract private and corporate donors. In 1995, distinguished benefactor Seymour Schulich donated $15,000,000 to York University for the business school, the largest gift of its kind in the history of Canadian universities. As a result, the faculty was renamed in his honour. Mr. Schulich’s endowment and subsequent gifts have made possible the creation of scholarships, academic chairs and teaching awards.

For more than 30 years, the Schulich School of Business at York University (formerly the Faculty of Administrative Studies) has focused on business education that graduates men and women who will succeed throughout their careers in a complex and constantly changing world. Founded in 1966 in Toronto, Canada’s corporate centre, Schulich has built a strong reputation, both at home and abroad, for richly diverse, creative, real-world programs at the undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and executive education levels. These include Canada’s first International MBA program (IMBA), as well as the country’s first comprehensive offerings in areas such as Financial Services, Real Property Management, and Arts and Media Administration.
