Marshall's new Full-Time MBA curriculum expands first-year (Core) elective options while providing a solid grounding in both functional and foundational business areas. During the second year, students to continue to refine their knowledge and abilities in areas specifically related to their future careers.

Teamwork — especially the ability to work effectively in cross-functional as well as cross-cultural teams — is vital to the success of many companies. You will have many opportunities to work with your fellow FT MBA students in five- or six- person teams and on group projects. Application requirements

  • Four-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent
  • A completed online application
  • Official academic transcripts
  • Official Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score report
  • Three required essays; an optional essay is provided for any additional information you wish to convey to the Admissions Committee
  • Your résumé
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • International students from non-English-speaking countries only: official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score report or Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic)

Design your own program

In 1997, USC Marshall became the first business school to require international travel and study projects for every Full-Time MBA (FTMBA) degree. Your first year will conclude with PRIME: Pacific Rim International Management Education, an intensive course that includes a 10-day field trip to selected companies and institutions in a leading Pacific Rim, Latin American or European city. The object is to gain a greater understanding of global issues, and to apply the business strategies and skills you have learned by making an on-site presentation.

The second-year Full-Time MBA program is intended to be customized to suit your interests and career goals. The required units can be earned by:

  • Taking elective coursework in one or two areas of concentration;
  • Designing an individualized program of study that cuts across several concentrations; and/or
  • Selecting courses from other schools within the university.

Expenses / Tuition Fees

The estimated cost of attending the USC Marshall MBA Program is $71,000. This includes tuition and fees ($49,000) and estimated living expenses of $22,000.

Please be aware that living expenses can vary greatly, depending on where in Los Angeles you live and your choice of accommodation (in shared housing or on your own).
