The Executive MBA's cutting-edge curriculum

3 International Residencies – your insight into Global Business

The Executive MBA’s curriculum reaches well beyond what is taught in the classroom. In the course of 3 residencies to 4 countries (Russia, India, China, U.S.A.) and 3 continents, participants have the exclusive opportunity to visit local companies and meet top executives, sharing insider information on local business practices and interacting with world-renowned guest speakers.

Participants benefit from the diversity of the market structures and local business cultures of the countries they visit, gaining a solid foundation for their future international business activities in emerging and mature markets.

Two-Tier Structure

The Executive MBA curriculum has a two-tier structure: Business Core and Global Leadership.

  • The “Business Core” provides in-depth know-how and a conceptual framework of general management to help participants share a common knowledge base.
  • In addition, the “Global Leadership” part combines a solid foundation in critical management practices with courses in essential skills for senior-level executives, such as Managing Globalization, Negotiation and Strategies for a Global Company.

Strong Link to Business

The Executive MBA has been designed with the demands of current business practices in mind. Moreover, it prepares participants for future challenges and helps their companies survive in highly unpredictable global business environments.

Virtual Team Project

The Virtual Team Project unites Executive MBA participants of four world-class business schools: The WU Vienna (Austria), the Carlson School of Management (U.S.A.), the Warsaw School of Economics (Poland) and the Lingnan University (China). Students blended together in virtual teams not only work on a highly demanding topic but also face numerous challenges in working across cultures and three different time zones. Each team works on a project aimed at introducing a new product into an existing market or at introducing an existing product into a new market. During the U.S.A. residency, all virtual teams gather to present their respective business plan at the end of the Executive MBA program in Minneapolis.
